About us

IFIF is a private company, we say the first private Institute of Football in Italy.

IFIF is born from the ideas and passion of four people with different backgrounds but all unified by their great love for football and the idea to spread worldwide their knowledge of football, with special attention to the youth football.

We have many different goals, from Clinics, Consultancies and youth team coaches, to Summer Camps in Italy or abroad for children of all ages.
It’s an exciting job developed at the highest possible level, mixing high performance training sessions with tourism and new technologies.

In alphabetical order here is who we are:

FABIO BACCI:

Former top manager of an important fashion group, I always worked in an International environment, commuting between London and Florence for many years.
I worked in the Finance and Licensing departments, travelling all around the World with a great interest for meeting people from everywhere. Now I work as a consultant but a big portion of my time is dedicated to the IFIF project: my task is managing the IFIF Company, creating business ideas to develop the project and maintaining contacts with managers and teams we meet.

RODOLFO FOTI:

The second “not technical” person of the team. A lawyer specialized in civil law in Florence, I have been the first student graduated in Siena discussing a thesis on sport law. I had the chance to start developing my passion for football and my projects in football thanks to many trips to Argentina where I met important local football managers. Thanks to my activities, I manage all the institutional contacts for IFIF and I develop with Fabio new business opportunities, sponsoring, licensing etc.

MASSIMILIANO MAZZEI:

Former promising football player (3 caps in the Italian National U15 team) only a bad injury stopped my young career in the moment all the big Italian teams were looking to me (for more than one year I played for As Roma for a trial period, but there I got injured). After recovering, I developed my football career in Liguria, where I now live.

I have been awarded with the “Best technical player of Liguria” of the last 20 years (1980-2000) even though among the candidates there were players who reached the Serie A in their career!

As a youth team coach I improved my experience thanks to many different challenges in various teams in different countries. I like to study the most up to date way to train youth players and I personally work to create new training sessions that I test among the team in which I work as training consultant. I’m an expert of youth football at international level and worked in the US (Texas) for almost one year in various soccer schools, participating and organizing important clinics for coaches. In the recent past, I coordinated the training of the youth division for a professional Italian team. I like new technologies as a support to better train our young players.

MARIO MARELLA:

I’m the Honoray President of the Italian Professional Athletic Trainers of Football Association after being for over a decade the Operating President of the Association.
Football is my passion and I spent my professional life in defining the best practices to training athletes of any sport, with focus on the football players. In my professional life I wrote many books and articles in magazines related to any issue of athletic conditioning.  I did specific analysis related to the check the level of training and fitness of players of any age. I have attended many conventions worldwide, invited by the most important Football Federation and professional teams. I teach at the University of Florence in the Sport Science Department the course of “Training Theory”.

THE NETWORK:

IFIF has a great network of coaches, athletic trainers and other football experts that will be involved when needed, depending on the project to be developed with our customers.
